Start of menopause

I'm 41. I'm not sure what the first signs of menopause. I had a period 2 weeks ago, but started with spotting 4 days ago. But now stopped. So not sure what's happening. Thanks

I was 43 when symptoms began. Spotting then nothing for a few days, then periods came heavier and heavier. I bleed now for almost two weeks. Night sweats, vivid dreams, cravings, migraines, weight gain all in my abdomen.

See your GP if these changes persist for three months. Are you under more stress than usual?

I have night sweats sometimes, a few dreams but always had them. And cravings for wine😂😂😂

With night sweats as a symptom I would see my doctor rather than wait the three months. They might do blood tests because of your young age.

I am under more stress than normal. Just wast t sure if this was the start of menopause, or something more.

Without sounding stupid. If I saw the doctor. Could it be something else than the start of menopause thanks

Mid-cycle bleeding could be polyps for example. Standard advice is that it should be reported to a GP. You don’t need to say what you think it might be.

I am the same age and have had symptoms for a while but the last few months have seemed more noticeable. I spot between periods, heavy and long periods but this month my period is late for the first time ever (I have all the pains but no bleeding as yet). I have had issues sleeping, odd vivid dreams, achy joints and the most awful PMS. My GP took bloods a couple days ago to see if anything shows up. I have had scans etc for the spotting and all have been clear.
