HRT patch came off

Quick question as internet is not helping.

I have recently restarted HRT patches. They are not hugely agreeing with me. I am allergic to plasters anyway so not surprised. The one I put on on Tuesday caused an immediate very bad allergic reaction. Scratching it continually and applying E45 of course led to it coming off last night.

I put a new one one on my thigh at 11pm and it is less itchy.

My change days are Tuesday /Saturday (so tomorrow). The internet seems to suggest I should put a new one on tomorrow , even though I only just put this one on. Do I definitely need to do that? Surely that leads to less oestrogen and messes up any cycle ? Can I leave this non itchy one on til Tuesday?

On another note, what the hell do I do about this? I have only just after a long wait been represcribed HRT. Do not want another change of meds as I have yet to fully establish whether it is doing me any good.

I would change tomorrow as planned, rather than expected that patch to provide enough to get you through until Tuesday. That would give you less, as there may not be enough left on the patch for you to receive the full dose.

Hmm... OK. But at one point in the week the patches take me from Tuesday to Saturday surely?

I always change mine on the set days even if I’ve had to replace early due to water etc. otherwise I’d get totally out of sync. It does mean I have uneven packets open and uneven numbers left, I just move all patches to one box, oestrogen at the front and combi at the back, I put a coloured post it between the two types.
if you’re allergic to the glue then you might have to switch brand or even try a different method? Would antihistamine prevent the itching?

Yes one patch is 4 days, one patch is 3.
You are wanting it to do Thursday -Tuesday which is a bit longer.

Well, true . But it was 11pm Thursday so I thought it might be OK.

I seem to have found the one place where it isn't itchy now! So far...
