Bleeding after changing to taking Utrogestan orally

I started taking utrogestan about 2 years ago orally, I then switched to vaginally as I felt taking it orally was affecting my mood and giving me headaches. Anyway I recently decided to change back to orally as vaginally seemed to give me thrush.

After only 9 days on utrogestan I got quite a heavy period out of the blue and only a couple of weeks after my last period. I know utrogestan can mess things up for 3-6 months but I've been on it for 2 years without anything like this. Do you think this is just because I changed the way of taking it? It was definitely like a period (with cramping etc) rather than just bleeding. So far I haven't had the low mood and headaches either.
