WFH when heavily bleeding

I worked from him today as was on day one of period which are very heavy. Booked for a mirena on Friday so hoping this is the last really bad one. The problem is I work with mostly men and they tend to make shitty comments about WFH so now I feel anxious about going back to the office. I asked HR if they have a menopause policy and they do not. Just looking really for what to say if I get the comments when I go back. We are supposedly allowed to do 2 days a week from home and I did actually work all day so it seems ridiculous to be anxious. Maybe it's just another gift of peri menopause.

Anxiety is definitely another gift of the menopause.
You're allowed to WFH so you have nothing to explain. Ignore any comments if you get them.

What would they be commenting about, if your company already permits WFH ?

If you get some remark "oh where were you yesterday..." kind of thing, could you try replying as if the question was obvious / silly "Oh didn't you know our company allows WFH twice a week ? You could see I was online on Teams if you wanted to contact me ?"

You don't need to tell your colleagues anything about your bleeding / menopause at all.
