So I know bran fog is common on peri/ menopause but is it just forgetfulness?
I have been suffering from a fuzzy head for the last few years but it is more the type of fuzzy head you get when you have a cold.
It tends to come on the day after exercise but it is getting worse in that the level of exercise can be very low level! It also can come on after eating.
I'm 45. Does this sound like it could get better if take HRT or do you think it is unrelated. There are other things it could be such as post exertional malaise (although didn't start after covid) or histamine issues/ MCAS.
I read a lot about people having brain fog with peri but can't work out if it is this kind of brain fog or whether it ever has the same triggers that I have.

I can only say that my memory is better than it's ever been. I wish I'd discovered them decades ago. My elder DSis who is in her 60s now recommended the vitamins. There are other threads on MN about Lions Mane and I think it is generally found to be helpful. I've not had any side effects for either.

Ooh - think I will try these, thank you! Before I was on HRT I tried Menopause Max and some other Vitabionics stuff including Sage all of which were quite expensive.

Whilst on HRT have been taking Tescos own brand Menopause supplement which is very good and magnesium for sleeping and also got cream for feet but that didn't work that well.

I agree with what you say re French being better, parents have a holiday home in France and a close friend is French (Calais girl). The pharmacies are much better and my friend says you can see a consultant (private?) for everything not just general like we do! May have to see our lovely doctor in France when I go at Easter (everyone in the locality loves him!).

@Gonnagetgoingreturnsagain why have they advised you to come of HRT for spotting sounds like your regime just needs
tweaking or progesterone increasing? X

Well.... my GP wants me off HRT, but it seems I had to go for a scan, which I did and they found a cyst/polyps on the left ovary which needs removal and further investigation and there is thickening of the womb lining. All needs to be checked out and has been done super quickly. A friend of mine was diagnosed and is being treated for uterine cancer last year so you can't be too careful.
