Hair Loss - Has anyone successfully fought back?

Hair loss is really upsetting me. I’m 47 and probably have less than 2/3 the head of hair I had a couple of years ago. It’s coming out in clumps and I am starting to dread getting in the shower.

Has any one been here and reversed this? I’m on Estradiol already.

TIA

I feel your pain. My hair is naturally very thick and so the hair loss is not noticeable but I am losing so much more than I am comfortable with. Taking high dose Vit D, folic acid, Biotin and a multivit daily. Had blood tests last week as I am also on thyroid medication and that can affect your hair. GP open to upping my estrogen but wants to run bloods first which is sensible I suppose.

When I lost lots of hair in my early 40’s I was just told to take iron. That’s it, no referral or anything. That was 10 years ago now, so I’d be interested to know if anyone has got their hair back too.
