Brain fog and sleeping problems

I'm 46, still getting regular periods although they only last 2-3 days tops. But I'm having trouble with sleep and do feel very brain-foggy (I did have Covid last Xmas, though).

Are these enough symptoms to think it might be the menopause?

Seems a bit early, but so difficult to know without knowing everything about you...have you been to speak to the doctor? Did your mum start menopause this early? etc. Apparently peri-menopause causes changes for ages...hope you find out what is going on

Thanks for replying. Hard to say re: my mum as I think she had to have a hysterectomy around my age! I can't ask as she's sadly no longer with us. I have a phone appointment with my GP next week on an unrelated matter but will ask then. Can you do a blood test for it / hormone levels?

My GP ordered bloods to check my hormone levels last week because I'm convinced I'm peri menopausal. Spoke to the nurse doing my test and she said the test is pointless because it's unlikely to show up until my periods have stopped completely, another GP confirmed this for me.

I'm "only" 39 so having a hard time being taken seriously despite having almost every symptom and my mum having completed menopause by 45.

Good to know, thank you. Maybe yours will be different given your family history?

These have changed my life in terms of brain fog.

Oh really?? Is it because they help with sleep, or general brain chemistry?
