I’m 40, in early meno and been on Everol 100 patches for 9 months. GP wasn’t keen to test testosterone so I’ve had it done at Superdrug.

My results have come in marked “normal” at 0.5mmol with the normal range indicated as 0-1.8.

Superdrug have said I can order testosterone as long as I have been on patches for 3 months minimum. But I have questions. I will ask them of course, but am interested in your experiences:

  1. how can a normal range include zero? That would indicate that abnormal would give a negative result, which is impossible??
  2. is 0.5 at the low end?
  3. what benefit would some testosterone give if my results are 0.5mmol?
  4. have any of you had a 0.5mmol result and taken it? Was it useful? I would like to want sex more
