Period Pains but no period

I’m almost 50 - later this year - and my last period was in June 24th, nothing since that.
I thought that’s normal, must be peri etc even I got no other symptoms at all.
About a week ago my both breasts became sore like usual I get before my period is due.
Last few days I had some mild cramping on and off and yesterday it turned into very painful, especially last night I couldn’t even sleep.
I was expecting period any second but nothing at all.
Just very strong period pains.
( definitely not pregnant)
what it could be?

Update , just got my period but it’s like a waterfall! So heavy, while I put my pad on it dropped everwhere meanwhile of floor, inside my pants, which I all had to binned..
I don’t usually suffer from heavy periods.. the peri the gift which keeps giving..

Think about getting a Mirena coil before you become anaemic.
