Peri Menopause

Hi All.

I'm 39, peri-menopausal (potentially early menopause, getting checked out for that) and I am fed to to the back teeth of vaginal atrophy and the discomfort that comes with it.

After having one of the worst water infections I've ever had, the doctor prescribed mentioned vaginal atrophy and prescribed me Replens and that seemed to keep the symptoms at bay. However over the last few months that didn't seem to be as effective so I was switched to Estriol. But literally every month without fail, when I'm ovulating I have that horrors UTI like sensation and nothing seems to calm it.

I'm so miserable this evening. I'm 39 and I just feel like I can't do this for the next god knows how many years, especially as I know this is only the start of my journey.

That sounds so miserable.

I don't have any advice, but can you speak to your doctor about full HRT?

If they won't help, can you afford to pay for a private menopause consultation?

I've got a phone consultation on the 18th Oct, my doctor has been brilliant and did mention full HRT of the estriol doesn't work.
