Acne and Prosgesterone

I feel like a broken record but hoping to get some more advice on this.
Im 47, I have always suffered with hormonal chin acne. I took Dianette pill for years which was the only thing that worked but a few years ago, due to the headaches I was getting, my GP took me off it.
Acne didnt return, things were ok for about a year. Then I started with awful anxiety, irritability, rage, not hot flushes but these awful waves of doom, like a wave of pure sadness!!!
GP said I was in peri menopause. I started HRT and couldnt believe how much better I felt mood wise. No anxiety, I actually felt happy at times, something that I hadnt felt in a long time!!!
I started on the combined patch where I would take the one with progesterone in for the two weeks. However this made me feel sick, bloated, heartburn, all things Ive not had before. AND my skin- it was awful, acne on my chin, dry everywhere else.
I changed to Utrogestan which did help with the bloating and nausea but not the skin. I came off it in the end as although the oestrogen was making me feel so much better I just couldnt manage having such awful skin. I know it may seem vain but the spots were really getting me down and every painful cyst/whitehead leaves an awful scar.
The GP reluctantly put me back on Dianette pill and it has cleared my skin right up, however Im back to feeling so anxious and low again.
The GP would prefer I try the marina coil, however Im worried that this will flare my skin up again. I cant understand why there are combined pills with additional ingredients in to help acne, but nothing like this in HRT.
Any suggestions, advice would be welcomed, I just want to feel like me again!!

You can take utrogesterone vaginally and my skin cleared up when I did that as never had acne in my life and my skin just was awful and had awful other side effects and could not function at all. Some women are just sensitive to their own progesterone hence pmt/pmdd monthly before periods. So flooding my body with utrogesterone 2 weeks on and 2 weeks off was making me feel horrendous so now am on continuous hrt I take 1 table nightly vaginally and my gel daily. Have had some spotting and more periods but hopefully this will settle down and won't have a big hormonal rush and it balances it all out. Am seeing menopause doc tomorrow but am refusing to up to 2 tablets of utrogestrone as the progesterone kills me. You can switch to continuous if you have been on hrt over a year I think but I also am 54 and was sick of periods as still having them. Also see a gynacologist next week and am going to ask for a scan or whatever they do to check lining of womb make sure all ok and why am I still bleeding at 54 as sick of it all. But do try the utrogesterone vaginally as less side effects and completely different from taking it orally when I could not even think straight on it like that and feel bloated, skin awful etc. Hope this helps somewhat. It is all so confusing and hope we all get sorted out,

@BOOTS52PollyPrissyPants Thanks for your reply. Thats really good to know. I hope that your appointment with the menopause doc went ok and they have been able to look at stopping the ongoing bleeding.
With taking the Utrogestan vaginally, do you still take one tablet per day? It is all confusing isnt it! its driving me mad just trying to get something that works.
Thanks again
