Hi just wondered if anyone had been through this upto around 18 months my periods had always been very regular and not really any period pain but since then they have been very up and down n a lot heavier and also quite a bit of period pain. I have also a lot of bloating to my stomach ive had blood test to test for menopause etc but all came back normal for my age, i also had some irregular bleeding after sex ive been for a scan today on my womb and ovaries but they couldnt see anything of concern ive also had no motivation to do anything lately and just can not seem to remember anything at all which is really frustrating has anyone experienced this before? Thanks

Blood tests are a waste of time IMO, you would be better tracking your symptoms.

I ended up anaemic due to more frequent, heavier periods. In the end I had a Mirena coil to stop the anaemia, which was debilitating. I wish I’d had it much sooner, so consider it. It can also be used as part of HRT.
For lack of motivation I had to give in and start HRT, and it’s definitely helped.
For brain fog I take magnesium L-threonate.
Alcohol doesn’t help at this age , so think about that.

Thank you its more the memory thing at the moment i feel like i have to double check everything im doing n set reminders for everything im usually really organised and good memory, i feel like i could even deal with the heavy periods if i knew when they were coming but seems to be getting later each month so no idea when im going start feel like im just on edge each month waiting

Honestly, I don’t know why I put up with the periods for so long. At one point I had tingling in my arms, and convinced myself that I must have MS. Don’t put up with it.
