Perimenopause at 32?

Hi! I'm 32 and looking for advice or experiences of early menopause.

For 1.5 years my periods have been changing a lot and getting lighter and further apart.

I'm currently on day 63 of my cycle.

I'm gaining weight pretty fast, have acne, period cramps and pelvic pain most of the time, up and down hormones and I'm absolutely exhausted. Also peeing all the time, nauseous and have constant backache. I hadn't had loads of negative pregnancy tests, I'd think I was pregnant. I feel how I felt when I was pregnant.

I've had bloods and an ultrasound scan for PCOS but they came back fine. Waiting for results for thyroid now.

I'm just wondering if this is actually menopause instead ..or if there's anything else it could be, or sounds like?

Thanks in advance for any advice/help/shared experiences! ❤️

That does seem really young for it to be peri menopause. I was 38 when I started getting symptoms like hot flushes, no period, night sweats, vaginal dryness and itchy skin. I went onto HRT in the form of pessaries to deal with the atrophy. I think if I didn’t have so many symptoms the DR may have dismissed menopause. I had to talk them into giving me HRT! I get UTI’s more frequently now and find my stomach is sore and bloated. Hopefully the bloods will shed some light on what the issue is. Hope you find out soon!x

I don't have any advice sorry but it is possible (not saying that's what it is for you of course). My mum went through menopause from the age of 32 so it does happen although it is not common at all.
I hope you get answers soon, the doc should be able to do a blood test to check your FSH levels (follicle stimulating hormone) then repeat it 6 weeks later to check if it's dropped. Best of luck xx

Thanks both!

I have had bloods a few months ago which were fine, but none since (other than for thyroid specifically - but waiting for results)

Hoping for answers soon 🤞

I started getting perimenopause symptoms about 32/33 - hot flushes, lighter periods, night sweats. It’s been a steady decline since then with more and more symptoms starting. I’m now 50 and still getting regular-ish periods. I started HRT a couple of years ago but would ideally have started earlier. Everyone says peri lasts up to 10 years but mine has definitely been longer.

Oh wow you've had symptoms for that long! That's awful 😞
Well, I've had really long gaps between periods but this is my longest.
It's like having PMS symptoms permanently which is vile
