Covid has messed with my cycle for over a year

I am perimenopausal but had been still having regular periods despite other peri symptoms. I had covid aug 22. My next period was late, long (4 weeks) and very heavy. The following one started and didn’t stop for 8 months! I had a couple of random days here and there with no bleeding, but otherwise there was at least a little every day and many many days it was so heavy I was changing pads (and sometimes clothes too!) every 20 mins. Ended up very anaemic. Awful.
Had a hysteroscopy in may, and was diagnosed with simple hyperplasia, the plan was to watch and re-do biopsies after a few months.
A month after that, everything went completely back to normal. Repeat biopsies taken in July were normal so I thought that was that. What a relief!
But then I got covid again a few weeks later, and now I am back to constant heavy clotty bleeding. It is painful and very very inconvenient.
I am going back to gynaecology next week, but I just wanted to see if anyone has had a similar experience? Nothing I have read about covid and periods seems quite as severe as my experience.
