Early menopause?

I had a baby at the back end of 2021. Since then my periods have been very irregular (21 days to 60+ days) and they last various amounts of time with varying amounts of blood loss. Mid-period bloating is ridiculous; I look almost 9 months pregnant some times (and sometimes for weeks).

Could this be early menopause (I'm 40 next year)?

What do I do? Just get on with it? Or can the drs help? (With what I don't know?? I'm just clearly very clueless).

Thanks in advance

My very first symptom, looking back, was more frequent heavier periods. I just assumed it was normal for my age so dealt with the heavy periods and flooding best I could. In the end I got anaemic and knew I had to do something, so had a Mirena coil. I wish I’d had it earlier instead of battling on.

Could be peri menopause. My first symptoms started younger then you but my mum had an early menopause as did her mum. My first symptom was erratic periods then they became very heavy but that was some time later.

It might not be though. Lots of things can make periods erratic.
