Bloating - what is the bloat? Can anything counter it?

I’ve been bloated since I had a coil put in. Im
concerned that the bloating might impact my prolapse - pushing everything down further. My understanding is that losing weight around the middle helps prolapses, and I’m thinking that cutting down on this bloating could help. Is the bloating fluid retention? Or pooling of blood? Any body know anything about this, or got tips to counter the bloating?

Watching. Hadn't even occurred to me that HRT bloating might affect my prolapses.

I am also bloated, also have a mirena but I've been bloated since I started HRT in January.

I've had painful bloating ever since I had a hysterectomy (BSO TH) about five years ago. (I was already on HRT, and continued.)

I tried Low FODMAP eating (see Monash University website), and this has definitely helped. I do have quite a restrictive diet, but it's more bearable than the painful mega-bloat I was getting.
