Testosterone - OMFG!!

lupinlass · 04/09/2023 11:24

Been on testosterone for nearly 3 months now.

OMG. I am so up for it now! Grin

This is sooooo not me. Usually very vanilla and at one point thought I'd be happy to never have sex again!

I would recommend it to anyone to try.

That's all 🙈

I’ve been on it for over a year and haven’t noticed any effect on my libido.

Agree it’s worth a try though.

NeunundneunzigHorseBallonz · 04/09/2023 11:32

I need some!

subolooo · 04/09/2023 11:45

Oh I hope I can get some once I've had my hysterectomy as I'm already feeling the effects of the HRT and my Zolodex injection :( I could do with something (anything) to increase my libido.

TreesWelliesKnees · 04/09/2023 11:46

I'd like some of what you're having! Any negative effects at all?

pharmachameleon · 04/09/2023 11:55

@lupinlass what dose are you on?
A pea sized blob applied every morning is not working for me.

lupinlass · 04/09/2023 12:44

I'm on 0.5ml androfeme a day. I just squirt a blob on my inner thighs and spread it there.

lupinlass · 04/09/2023 12:46

No negative effects at all.

This change in me, whilst has taken 3 months ish, happened kind of over night. I just feel so different!

It's weird for me and I'm hoping it lasts. But if not, I'm making the most of it!! 😉

Bloody hell. I even posted something on the 'sex' board! 😂😂

Moredarkchocolateplease · 04/09/2023 16:45

It took me three and a half weeks and I am permanently 'tingly'. I was out in the car today and I was constantly thinking about it.

I have never had much interest in sex, never had an orgasm (while awake anyway) and this feeling is quite overwhelming. I'm not sure really what to do with it!

I'm dropping down to every other day as this is too much for me. Oh and I have developed BO on my shoulders. Weird..

That said, I have LOADS more energy and my mood is significantly improved. I am absolutely astonished at how fast it has worked.

I use testogel pea size blob daily.

RudsyFarmer · 04/09/2023 17:03

I’ve been on it about three weeks and no change sadly.

Same.

Moredarkchocolateplease · 04/09/2023 17:06

For what it's worth I put mine on a different part of my stomach each morning. In case that helps absorption.

Bilingualspingual · 04/09/2023 17:07

Is this just from your GP along with other HRT hormones? Or a specialist clinic?

Plumbathread · 04/09/2023 17:18

GP

pharmachameleon · 04/09/2023 17:31

Yes I've been on it for about 4 years I think and it's not helped 😂
Although I'm happy to stay on it to help with brain fog and muscle strength.
I initially just asked my GP for it and she referred me to my local menopause clinic. They started it with advice to my GP to check two testosterone levels and my GP has been prescribing it every month since then.

Moredarkchocolateplease · 04/09/2023 17:34

I just asked my GP and she said yes pending a blood test.

Blood test said 'can't calculate levels as too low'.

GP prescribed. Took a couple of days for the pharmacy to get hold of it.

Moredarkchocolateplease · 04/09/2023 17:34

And yes, been on HRT since January so this was the logical next step.

lupinlass · 04/09/2023 17:36

Moredarkchocolate- exactly that! It's like I'm constantly in a state of mild arousal. All tingly and just, well, horny!

OP posts:
Moredarkchocolateplease · 04/09/2023 17:37

@lupinlass its most unexpected. I was told 3-6 months!!

pickledandpuzzled · 04/09/2023 17:49

Dammit. I want some. Not for that, for the strength and brain fog.

Moredarkchocolateplease · 04/09/2023 17:51

Hasn't helped my brain fog yet...

TangoTarantella · 04/09/2023 17:54

How do you get it prescribed? No mention of it from my GP. Would it help with fatigue and brain fog as still suffering from that despite Everol Conti.

lupinlass · 04/09/2023 18:02

I've got it via a private menopause dr. £92 for 3 months worth 🙈

OP posts:
Plumbathread · 04/09/2023 18:29

I was prescribed it for fatigue. Unfortunately, it doesn’t seem to have helped that much.
