Does anyone sweat so much (I'm talking from the head really I think) that it runs down into their eyes and your whole head of hair gets so wet it's like you've taken a shower? I'm sick of it and it's getting me down. I just don't know what to do. Help.

I have the exact same problem, but no advice to give sorry.

theysaiditgetseasier · 02/09/2023 22:52

Me! It's awful isn't it! My hair is wet at the sides and my make up slides off, it's getting me down too so I'm going to see if I can get HRT. I'm always so HOT, I see people in jumpers and start sweating

Thintelligencerising · 02/09/2023 22:52

Yes!

ChoresSuck · 02/09/2023 22:57

I'm wondering if gym type sweat bands would help. Anyone tried?

Menopace definitely helped me, within a couple of weeks the sweatiness had reduced, but mine wasn't too bad really, just general overheating. What did sort it out properly was HRT.

VikingLady · 02/09/2023 23:26

Yep, and it's horrible. I hadn't realised menopause would mean I couldn't do my roots - the dye just washes off my scalp and roots as soon as the next hot flush starts!

cleowasmycat · 02/09/2023 23:49

Have you tried HRT?

FredaFox · 03/09/2023 01:11

I've found my people
I've always been a warm person and struggle in heat so knew once I approached menopause I could have issues

I can't control my temperature at all. I get beads of sweat on my face then my head. My hair gets wet
It's embarrassing

Hoping for some tips

The one thing that works for most women for this is HRT.

Your symptoms @ChoresSuck come under the title of 'vasomotor symptoms' - one of the most common of peri/menopause.https://www.balance-menopause.com/menopause-library/how-to-cope-with-hot-flushes-in-warm-weather/

OHVanessaShanessaJenkins · 03/09/2023 07:25

HRT.

Thintelligencerising · 03/09/2023 08:56

Sadly I went up to twice the recommended dose of HRT and it didn't help me. Think mine is worsened by SNRI side effects.

CassiniG · 03/09/2023 08:58

Have you sprayed anti persistent on the back of your neck and on your forehead at your hair line? Would that stop the perspiration?

Mary46 · 03/09/2023 14:18

Feel for you op god its awful. I didnt find patches great gave up. Still sweat a bit. But not like I was. Hrt was not amazing well for me anyway.
