Any dermatologists on here?? Or anyone who has overcome menopausal hair loss.
HRT didn't work and I think made it worse.

my hair loss is really making me feel down. I’ve always had thick shiny hair, over past 2 years it's been falling our and is really dry and frizzy.

I'm considering buying regain for women it interested in anything else that would help??

When you say HRT didn't work- what were you taking and for how long?

Jojojojo55 · 28/08/2023 22:39

Was on evorel 25 the up to 50 with 2 weekly progestorone. It made me really bloated and joints ached

How long did you take for? Can take time to settle. I have 100 Everol and one utrogesten each night.

Jojojojo55 · 28/08/2023 22:57

About 4 months, the bloating was the worst, shoes didn't fit

That's one of the reasons I went to one utrogesten a day. You can also take vaginally.

Use rosemary oil mixed with castor oil you could add more oils to it like olive or coconut apply couple of times a week for few hours or even overnight...it really helps with hair growth. Take vit D

You need a trichologist and blood tests. No point throwing regain at it until you know the cause. Hair loss is awful. Really upsetting. In the interim, make sure you're getting lots of protein in your diet and take biotin supplements.

You may also need to look at your iron levels

Work on the dry and frizzy thing while you’re waiting to find out what the issue is. Argan oil is amazing, also used Shea moisture milk and herbal essence (blue one) for shampoo and conditioner. My hair falling apart was Covid related but hopefully that will help x

During all the lockdowns I stopped colouring, blow drying my hair. Washed every five days and let dry naturally. It grew back , before that it was thinning rapidly.

Grey hair is frizzier even if coloured.

It's worth getting blood tests though.

Yes, especially stored ferritin levels. Only a blood test will show whether this is an issue or not though.

Hi Jojojojo55

Did you find something that worked? I am also looking for a solution and was considering HRT when I saw your post.
