I found they don’t stick after a bath or shower so I change mine midday.
They need the firmest pressure you can do for at least 30 seconds after applying.

Wait until you’re fully dry, and apply to an area you haven’t moisturised. Wash and thoroughly dry you hands before you touch the patch so you don’t ‘unsticky’ it.

No body lotion, oil or moisturising bath stuff beforehand. Bone dry skin with no hair on it, as that also affects adhesion, but also no loose, powdery skin, as that acts like talc would.

Part fold so that one half of the sticky is exposed, place against skin that is held relaxed rather than taut, press down, fold backwards so the other half sticky touches the skin, rub down and you're done.

Apply moisturiser after the patch has been well stuck down.

Where are you putting them?

hursty900 · 20/08/2023 20:49

Tried all the above. Putting them on bum/ thighs. Not had 1 last more than a day. Think I'll have to go back to the gel.

I put mine on the very front of my thighs, because my bum and back of thighs flex too much to keep them on.

Have you got more than one pack? Can you open a new pack and try one from that, in case you have a not very sticky box? Just trying to think of anything that might help!

Which patches do you have? I found estroderm were shit, but estrodot are amazing, no issues with them falling off. Deffo try a different patch if you havent already.

Warm it between your hands for 15/30 seconds before you peel off half. Apply and gently smooth, and then warm/rub to heat for 15/30 seconds once applied (I tend to do throigh a layer of cotton/my granny pants, as rubbing the cotton cause a good warming friction).

The heat activates the glue. It is exactly the same reason physios rub PT tape after applying...without the heat the glue isn't as gluey.
