Change in cycle - peri? Covid?!

Sorry for another post but I’ve had a search and not found exactly what I’m looking for!
I’ve always been regular with periods, they’ve increased in flow and pain over the years but they’re manageable.
after I had Covid in 2021 for a few months I bled twice a month but the second time was very light and the nurse said it was part of being over 40 now.
Well I’m now about to turn 44 and I’m having what I’d call a light period, only 10 days after my “normal” one finished! Worth mentioning that that was late by a few days as well.
Long chat with nurse on phone, have to see gp on Monday but she said it’s very normal at this age. I mentioned to her that I’d had a heavy cold in the week leading up to my normal period this month but now I’m wondering if I had Covid again or if I’m really reaching for random ideas?!
Anyway, wondered if any peri ladies found their cycle went a bit nuts as their first symptom?!

Not after covid, but in peri. Consider a Mirena coil to hopefully stop all bleeding.

I’ve not been on any contraception for years but I’d certainly consider that, so so tired of bleeding 😓

I became anaemic with the bleeding, so that’s why I had one.
