I m 44, I recently had a bad sinus infection, it might have been covid and got my period 21 days after the last one. Anyway, as mentioned I had some sort of soft tissue infection about 2 weeks ago, sore throat, sore sinuses, glands were up. That has abated, however my jaw bones and teeth were are sensitive and achey.

My face looks thinner and for the first time I ve noticed the stingy gobble neck, 2 vertical lines under my chin.

I m enjoying the thinner face, but I m wondering is this a peri menopausal development. The sore, achey Jaws, I m presuming relate to the soft tissue head infection, but I m just wondering could this facial weightloss be simply aging. Is the acheybess connected to the weight loss?

I m on the upper end of healthy bmi, so not extremely thin.

Think 44 is far too young for jowls unless your family are chinless and get them early

Is there any chance that you are clenching your jaws in your sleep? I used to do this and my face would feel achy all day.

Thank you for the responses
