HRT adjustment needed or is it just life?

Hi - hoping for some advice or others' experiences, please.
I don't know if if this is me needing to look at my HRT prescription or just 'life' in general.
I have the Evorel patch 50, and have Utrogestan vaginally for 12 days every 3 months (progesterone is really not my friend!)
I have recently started feeling really disengaged, kind of lazy about life and as if I cannot be bothered. Also, I have felt more anxious in an overthinking sort of way...and tired. I wake at night, to go to the loo mainly but generally seem to sleep ok-ish.
I don't know if this is a sign I need to increase my oestrogen patch, or talk to someone about that, or if it is life stage - hitting 50, a full on job that I love but can be all consuming and my only dc leaving for university this sept - so life changes and identity changes all at once.

Starting HRT a year ago was fabulous for me - I have had an ablation so had no idea whether I needed it in terms of having periods or not, but was starting to get some night sweats and feeling like I had ongoing PMS. Skin better, looked younger / fresher, more 'bounce' in my step and I lost weight.

How do you know if you need to increase your dose? And what happens if you take too much oestrogen/ increase it and don't need it?
Thanks in advance.

I doubt anyone can answer this TBH! It might be lifestyle related but the only way to find out is to increase your hrt and see how you feel.
There's no harm in increasing your hrt - nothing bad will happen.

One option is to change from patch to gel or spray because it's easier to increase the dose in small increments, like half a pump extra, rather than having to jump from 50 to 75 patch.

Hi op
I can't speak re the progesterone, I have the coil for mine.
But sounds like you need to increase your oestrogen.
Your gp is unlikely to jump you up too quickly, I'd guess you'll be given 75 patch to try initially.
They won't put you on 100s from a 50 patch.
Hope this helps, but please take a look at a great group on FB which has experts who can answer such questions and more.
