Increasing HRT dose - which option to choose?

I've been on Everol 50 patches for a few months and have been getting on well with them, but in the past couple of months noticed a few symptoms returning - low mood and low level anxiety mainly, plus some sleep disturbance and the palpitations which have never really gone away.

I'm on cyclical HRT as I'm peri and still having periods. So the GP has prescribed different patches (Estradiol) to up the oestrogen and also Provera tablets for the second half of the month. So I'm wondering how people generally get on with Provera, is it ok? Or can it cause some issues?

The alternative suggested by the GP was to get a Mirena coil fitted and take the higher dose patches with that. I've heard good and bad things about the coil so I have previously dismissed it but am considering it more seriously now and I think I might go for this as an option.

My dilemma is - do I test the higher doses with the new patch/tablets combo to see if things improve? Or just go straight for the coil? I am on the last patch of my current prescription with one other whole month left of the 50 dose and I'll be starting a new cycle from tomorrow - so I feel like I need to decide quickly whether to stick it out at current dose for another month and book an appointment for coil fitting, or if I should take the plunge and go for the higher prescription I've been given in the meantime.

WWYD? Any experience or advice welcome!

Which patch is the 2nd choice?
Estradiol isn't a brand name.
