Has anyone just used testosterone before trying HRT?

I doubt you'll get anyone to prescribe it without hrt as it's hard enough to get Nhs prescription with hrt - generally has to be via menopause clinic.

You could try privately but is lot of on line providers will only prescribe if you are already established on hrt - eg Superdrug.

I I'm one of the lucky ones to get Nhs prescriptions for testosterone but it has taken me around 9 months from getting my Gp to agree referral, then getting initial Appointment, blood tests and follow up appointment to get a trial of testosterone via the clinic and the GP to then take it over.

Don't let that put you off but without her I think you'll have to go for a private consultation rather than Nhs referral.

Thank you. I've had private bloods done (I know they can be quite inaccurate) but my oestrogen levels look fine but my testosterone levels are quite low. The symptoms I have all relate to low testosterone so I was hoping that by just having that it might improve the symptoms.
