Hives / Rash / Itching

Going through menopause with usual hot flushes, aching joints, and a lot of other things the MP can throw at me.... does anyone else break out in, what I can only describe as, hives.

It's red blotches, on parts of my body, legs, ankles and top arm ,( not all at once thankfully) they're like heatrash / insect bites like. No yellow heads on them. They get itchy but disappear after a few days.

But come back now and again.

I have read online that hives, these bite like things, can he a symptom of the MP.

Has anyone else come across this?

No, but I developed an allergy to alcohol, which is a thing. My face burns if I have two sips, so gave it up. But if I was desperate to drink I’d have an antihistamine first.

Yeah I've heard the MP can cause allergies you never had before. Wonder if its a certain type of food I'm eating as not had any alcohol for few months now!

At 59 I suppose I am at the end of the menopause, but yes to the allergies big time - if you have any antihistamines, cetirizine is good for hives/urticaria, or fexofenadine. Take ASAP. If you don't have any at home, then visit the local Sunday duty pharmacy as soon as you can and phone your GP on Monday to explain the problem.
To clarify, I found about 9-10 years ago that I had become allergic to latex when my hands started to develop terrible dermatitis after wearing marigolds: this progressed to an allergy to leather too and the latest? I'm now allergic to the elastic (elastane) in my bras &, socks! Such fun... except I am a 40GG and now am contemplating having to buy super expensive anti-allergy undies🙄or find some way around it before my boobs hit my knees

If you haven't already, you need to start taking antihistamines.
Piriton are great for nights as they can make you sleepy. Also recommend cold compresses/ice packs as I find it itches worse when I'm hot.
Since hitting menopause, I have become allergic to kiwi fruit and fresh raspberries.
My throat and mouth become insanely itchy then I'm violently 🤢.
I have definitely had more episodes of hives since hitting menopause.
Might be worth doing a sensitivity or intolerance test?
