What age did it start for you?

Can I ask what age everyone started noticing symptoms and what they were? I'm 38 and getting a lot of hot flushes, could that be peri-menopause? I have started intermittent fasting which has really helped, but I am wondering what I can expect to happen next? This is the book I used if it is of interest to anyone else, really good section about menopause & fasting: https://amzn.to/3O36pZf

If you are starting menopause symptoms at 38 you should seek medical advice as you would be recommended HRT to prevent weakening bones which is a real problem for early menopause

Started at about 48, all finished by 50. And no problems, no depression, no bad temper. Maybe one or two warm flushes but nothing to worry about.

Hormones don't need balancing Mindy they need replacing.

Symptoms started about 44. Took a while to recognise it for what it was though. Only more certain about the symptoms since 48. Still having regular monthlies at 50.

If your periods stop altogether before 40 it's called premature menopause. That's a medical condition and is treated with HRT to prevent bone loss and heart disease.
Before 45 and it's early menopause and treatment is as above.

Peri can last for years but if your periods get further apart you should see a Dr and discuss HRT if you have any risk factors for osteoporosis in your family or heart disease.

Unfortunately, there is nothing that 'balances' hormones, other than more/replacing hormones! I IF worked, we'd all be doing it. Such a lot of snake-oil 'treatments' around all of this.

Age 46 to 56. Mainly fatigue feeling neurotic forgetful etc. Issues with driving towards the end of those ten years. Finally periods stopped age 56. After three or four years of erratic periods and sometimes side breasts. Hair thinning. Dryer skin.

Sore breasts not side!

It started in the last 3 months, I'm 52 but my only symptom is hot flushes, approx 10 per day. It's driving me quite mad but I don't want to take hrt so I'll persevere 🤷🏼‍♀️
