Heavy bleed for 20+ days

I have been on HRT now for almost a year and everything was going well until last month I had a 'break through' bleed ten days before my usual period date. Since then I have not stopped bleeding heavily. My last period was palm sized clots and the bleed floods every day. I can't go more than two hours without changing pads and tampons do nothing.
GP tested for infection and all fine.
I want to just stop the HRT to see if I stop bleeding - should I? Can't see GP until mid next week. We go on holiday soon and this is making me very tired and miserable.

That sounds like an awful lot of bleeding and I'm surprise your Gp hasn't;t done more to figure out why. I always get asked if I have any clotting by my menopause doctor. I think you need an urgent phonecall with your GP, of course you're tired. You are losing a lot of blood, you must feel awful. I would not just suddenly stop HRT, no. It needs to be done slowly and with guidance.
