Urge to push on period

HalcyonDaisy · 16/07/2023 13:25

I'm 49 with very regular periods but lots of peri symptoms.
On day 2 of period atm. Just been for a wee and had the urge to push and huge clots came out (palm sized) sorry tmi.

Is this just another lovely peri symptom?

I'm not sure on peri symptoms as I'm only 31, but I'm pretty sure any clot bigger than a 50p needs to be checked out.

I would call 111 and just ask for some advice op.

Clots are not normal or healthy.
Ring your gp and request an ultrasound scan referral.

Sounds like you need to get this checked out @HalcyonDaisy

I had horrible clots on perimenopause and flooding too. Had it checked out but told nothing to worry about but unfortunate.

I had a lot of clots before I got the coil fitted. Not palm sized though and no urge to push. I agree it's worth checking with your GP.

Another one to suggest you call 111 or your GP surgery right away and ask for advice, because of the size of the clotting.

I had this throughout my periods. The relief after a push and a big gunk of tissue was immediate.
