HRT for headaches

I'm mid 40s and the last 6 months, a few days before I get my period, I get awful headaches (verging on migraines). I go to sleep with it and wake up with it, over the counter tablets don't touch the pain.
I read it's caused by a drop in oestrogen.
Has anyone had HRT specifically for this?
My periods are still regular and I don't have many other peri symptoms apart from baking breakouts.
Any advice would gratefully received as I'm having to take to my bed for 2 days every month as I can't stand the pain.

Yes. It wasn’t a resounding success- have found that frovitriptan for the headaches is better for me. I didn’t get any hormone level tests, just a gp with Google.

Yes, I had exactly the same problem and HRT has worked really well for me.

Thank you both. Which type of HRT did you go for and did you take it primarily for the headaches or did you have other symptoms?
