Panic attack sex linked to perimeno?

Wasn't totally sure whether to post here or Sex forum but on balance decided here, hope that's OK.

I'm pretty certain I'm pre-menopause. My mum started really early and I have lots of symptoms....awful brain fog, insomnia, flushes, ache all over, periods every 2 to 3 weeks at the moment, hideous anxiety and depression, loss of libido and dryness/itching down below, dry eyes etc. I haven't been to GP which I know is daft but my GPs are all old men and not overly understanding about other things never mind this. And I'm so young I feel like I'll just be dismissed.

Anyway, DH and I have not exactly had a sex life at all lately due to my total loss of libido, frequent periods and just generally feeling bloated / dry / undesirable / achy. But we did try last night...and when he began instigating, I had a full blown panic attack. Needed to get air, felt like I was trapped and couldn't breathe and the world was ending. It was terrifying, I can still feel it now.

Of course we stopped, my DH is lovely. But he was very confused and so was I to be honest.

Has anybody experienced this?

Poor you @ThexFallxIsxSkying .
That sounds horrible. I've not experienced that but panic and anxiety are common peri symptoms. I certainly felt very panicky and anxious before going on HRT. Do try to see a GP. Are there no women at the practice? Could you ask to be referred to a menopause clinic if there is one nearby?
