Everol sequi problems..

Marilynmansonsthermos · 09/07/2023 10:01

can anybody help me? Ive been on everol sequi patches for around 8 months. I feel amazing on the everol 50 but as soon as I switch to conti I feel down. It could handle it just about until this month that has been hellish. For some reason I haven’t had a bleed towards the end of the conti patches as I usually do. I have felt like my period is due to start the next day for 2 weeks, I have had terrible bloating depression and anger and no bleed for relief. I am due to start the Everol 50 sequence today. Feeling awful..any ideas?
im tempted to try the coil with oestrogen gel as I suspect I have a progesterone intolerance but will this be worse or better??

Ps I’m 45 periods were becoming extremely irregular and oestrogen was very low before I went on patches. Mum had early menopause too

There are different types of progesterone to try. Pop back to your gp and ask to swap - maybe oral micro ionised would suit you better?

There is no one solution that fits everyone so give something else a go.

As someone who has very luckily gone through life without experiencing any depression or anxiety I was a bit put out to start getting it with the menopause and then with my HRT. I think I followed the same pattern but I didn't get bloating. I didn't get any anxiety/depression or anger with periods.
I've been on HRT for four years and I'm going to try and completely come off. Hopefully the menopause systems don't come back. If they do the Doctor said I should try something different that will get rid of my periods.

Oh wow, OP I was just about to pop on and start a similar thread - I'm only 4 months in so still fairly early days for me, but last month and this one I've noticed a shift during the conti phase. More irritable, on edge, feeling a bit low, much like before I went on HRT. First half of the sequence is fine though and I've felt a lot better.

Don't know if it's the oestrogen or progesterone or natural fluctuations of your own hormones? How on earth do you tell why it's happening?

I'm not sure what to do next - I think I'll test it out for another month but if I'm still going up and down like this I'll go back to the GP. I'm getting on well with the patches apart from that so would like to stay on them!

Thanks all good to hear everyone’s experiences! I don’t know why it’s happening, I feel like I have a progesterone intolerance..one person said to me the coil might be better for me as it delivers the progesterone directly where it is needed! Not sure if this is right or not x

Hi everyone, I'm a newbie here. Was just wondering the same thing. Only been on everol 50 since June so early days. Fine with the 1st part. the conti part I to feel worse, joint pain pains in breast, Snappy and feeling low.
I have only had a bleed at the beginning of 1st patch not the last. Any thoughts will be helpful to.

@Perigal you need to give the patches at least 3 months for the hormones to settle down. You should have a 3 month review when you first start HRT with your GP for blood pressure check etc.
