Suggestions- think my hrt needs a tweak

48, regular periods still but was suffering badly from sleep issues and some worsening anxiety so started hrt 2 months ago - Everol sequi 50.

So on the plus side the quality of my sleep is definitely better and I have a bit more energy (although I have taken up the gym at the same time so that may be contributing).

Negatives however seems to be quite a lot of digestive side effects - bloating, wind, upset stomach and increased heartburn.

I've also been very tired, a bit of nausea, sore boobs very emotional and mostly worryingly an increase in migraines. Definitely worse in the second half/ progesterone phase.

I wasn't expecting wonders in week one or anything but so far the side effects seem to be outweighing the benefits.

Any suggestions? My gp is lovely and interested but by her own admission has limited training so is open to any suggestions I have. I have a review appointment in a couple of weeks.....

I’ve a Mirena coil and gel, and I have no side effects.

Thank you. I don't really want a mirena but I am wondering if switching to a gel and progesterone may be better. Having had a google, I did read a couple of the nhs which suggested the symptoms I get in the first half (nausea etc) may be too much oestrogen for me atm so gel may be easier to control?

The nhs should say things
