Utrogestan 100mg or 200mg daily?

I have been on cyclical HRT since December and am now moving to continuous, I’m 55 and don’t want monthly bleeds anymore. I had originally been told 100mg (one tablet) would be the correct dose for continuous, but GP now says 200mg to avoid any bleeding. I use two pumps of gel at night. I am wondering if anyone else has experience of this and whether they are tolerating 200mg of utrogestan daily? I appreciate we’re all different but just curious what others have found.

The directions are simple and on the patient leaflet (dr should know.)

100mgs daily for women post menopause = no bleed
200mgs x 12 days a month = peri or choosing to stay with a withdrawal bleed type.

Thanks JinglingSpringbells, I questioned the Dr as I thought this was the case, but she was quite sure it needed to be 200mg. I’ve seen some posts on here suggesting the guidance has been changed. I might start with 100mg and see what happens.
