Blood Spotting

I haven't had a period for about two years, maybe longer, and I had some blood spotting today. Is this normal? I thought I'd finished with periods.

Any bleeding after the menopause needs to be looked at by your GP.

Do get checked out, just for your own peace of mind.

Ring your GP for an appt, asap. This is one of those things that could be nothing but needs to checked out urgently.

Could be all sorts of things, might be vaginal atrophy, could be polyps, could be non-cancerous womb thickening, could be hormonal, but there's a small chance it could be something more serious. It should mean an immediate referral for an ultrasound. If it is something nasty, the bleeding should mean that it's been caught early and is easily treatable in the vast majority of cases. Good luck!
