Is HRT a pre existing condition for insurance

My travel insurance company were quite unhelpful. They takes about illness and disability and having seen a doctor for a condition. I can't see how taking HRT could be an issue for a broken leg or lost luggage but insurers will try and wriggle out of paying

You don't need declare it. I never have because I don't want insurance to cover menopause.

My husband recently bought travel insurance through Churchill for us both to travel to the USA. They asked for details of any medication we take. My HRT had no impact on the cost of the insurance, whereas his statins added an extra £80. Presumably this is because I’m highly unlikely to claim for a menopause-related emergency, whereas his statins indicate raised cholesterol and therefore increased risk of a cardiovascular incident.
