I’ve been taking Utrogestan 100 and two pumps of gel for three months. I’m still having periods. I’ve suffered with anxiety and depression all my adult life. Since I’ve been on this HRT when I’m good,I’m really good but when I’m bad,it’s horrific. Premenstrually the anxiety has been terrible I’ve I’ve suffered the worst agitation of my life. I was driving the other day and had to pull over as I was such a wreck. I’ve found the tiredness hard to deal with too. I saw the nurse yesterday who has prescribed Bijuve 1/100. I’m due to start taking it tonight. I was wondering if anyone has or is using this and what experiences they’ve had on it. I’m almost scared about starting it as I can’t afford for the anxiety and depression to get worse. Thank you in advance for any advice

Has it been explained why you have been given this?
The ingredients are estradiol and progesterone.

Why is is supposed to be better than Utrogestan ?

I take Bijuve, and it has really worked well for me - I didn't want a gel or patches due to skin issues.

Hi, I’m 62 and have been on HRT since I was 50. Have found Bijuve the best product yet. Particularly good for me at eliminating night sweats.

Hey - just adding here that I was recently advised you should take utrogestan or any type of progesterone at night time as it can make you tired/drowsy/low mood during the day. this totally changed things for me as I couldn't tolerate it before- it also helps with sleep when taken at night.

Did an NHS nurse prescribe Bijuve? I've been going private and can't really afford the appointments anymore- I'm on lenzetto and think its rubbish. I used to be on progynova (oestrogen tablets) and loved it, never felt better but the risks are meant to be higher so was forced onto body identical :( interested in bijuve as it might be similar to the progynova- tho i was on 3mg so might need a tablet/gel combo to top up the dose. Would welcome any advice or info if you've had similar experiences

I've just been given Bijuva today as I seem to be intolerant to most progesterones Utrogestan unfortunately being the worst. (Estradiol patches im great on but still have a womb - need progesterone)I've tried for 7mths without hrt its been awful I'm struggling so much literally cannot cope at all so many horrible symptoms.
Very apprehensive about trying Bijuva hoping to start tonight just praying they suit me & give some kind of benefit to me.

Hi. Im just about to start the Bijuve. I still have periods and it advertises as a “no bleed” hrt 1 year from last period. Is it still okay?

Sazzle46 · 21/03/2024 19:10

Is there anyone who could help with my question above? X

Hi,@Stella100 I am thinking about using this product too but am aware that the oestrogen dose is quite low. Had you used gel/patches previously, and if so how many pumps/ patch size?

sorry, I realise this is an old thread. thank you
