This is entirely normal, right?

I am 46, mr periods have become more erratic over the last few years but generally 5 day long normal periods.

My last period came right on time but is really odd. Started with heavy/moderate spotting, then after a week of this an episode (few hours) of heavy, clotty bleeding, more spotting for 2 days, another episode of heavy, clotty bleeding, then 2 more days of spotting and then this morning another heavy bleeding episode.

  1. Will my period ever end?
  2. Is this normal?
  3. See number 1.

  1. Eventually
  2. If by normal you mean happens to others then yes but in general nothing about the menopause is normal!
Twice now I’ve gone 7 months with no period and thinking I’m done, only for the bloody (no pun intended) thing to start again! Find a group of people in a similar position either IRL or on social media and understand that you are not alone. If also found it helpful talking to friends who are in their 70’s and past it all. They tend to be more positive!
