Don’t know what to do! Put first patch ever on last night on second day of my period. It was quite light and is normally heavy by day 2 but expected it to be heavy by this morning. Woken up on day 3 of period and it’s very light, barely anything. Now wondering if I should have stRted on patches if this isn’t a proper period or what if my periods were about to end and now I’ve messed it up by putting patch on? I had still been having heavy and regular ish periods until this one! Don’t know what to do. Shall I take patch off? I’ve never had a light period before and if my body is naturally going to do light periods I don’t want to ruin it!! My periods are normally so heavy and horrible.

I use the same ones and it takes a little while for the pattern to settle, so just stick with it.

my periods weren’t regular so it was difficult to know when it should have been. A few times I would get two periods in a month (one induced by the swap in patches and one presumably a natural one breaking through?)

Sometimes I don’t get one at all. Just give it a go for a few months, (& make sure you have sanpro on you at all times just in case it takes you by surprise!) but honestly the benefits have been more than worth any irregularity for me.

I was having totally regular periods before starting the Sequi and these continued and the I had a breakthrough bleed. It is a bit bewildering. I am not sure the info for women who begin HRT whilst still menstruating is very clear at all. It is a bit unsettling not to know whether what you are having is caused by the HRT or not.

I've come off them because I didn't like the uncertainty and my GP overreacted somewhat to the breakthrough bleed . I went on them because of night sweats and it did stop those.

However, I did try the patches for a good few months so keep at it for a while.

Hi there I am on these patches and have been since March , my periods before them are around every 5 weeks and very heavy , now I find I am having an extra bleed around the time I end a pack and still very heavy, I was just wondering why the over reaction from the GP was for regarding the extra bleed ? I find the patches beneficial for the sweats and low mood so I really would like to make them work and not sure if I should give it a few more months and see if my periods become regular again. Any advice would be appreciated 😊
