Aches?

I’ve changed username for this; not sure why-
feeling rather embarrassed that I know absolutely nothing about menopause.
I’ve bought a book (“menopause bootcamp”) on a therapist’s suggestion, but I am in bed with aches all over, and I’d like to hear from actual people. Is this normal?

im 50, and until this month, my periods have been regular.
this month, I had spotting mid cycle, and now my period is very late - so maybe the spotting was it?

anyway- what’s really being hard to live with Is the exhaustion. My whole body aches, and I’m just so tired - it feels like I felt when I had covid.

is this normal for menopause? I can’t believe how little energy I have. I muster up energy and push myself to go to work, then just collapse the second I’m home.

just wondering what the heck to do.

thanks

Basic question but have you had some bloods done? I am not menopausal, I gather fatigue is a symptom but it's also worth ruling out low iron, and b12. And not just what they say is normal, many women can't operate on ferritin levels lower than 60-100.

See your GP and also discuss HRT too?

Pretty normal, see your gp and get started on hrt if suitable, it may take a while to get the dose right but it's changed my life.

Thank you both - I probably should get some blood work done, to start. Would do just about anything to have some energy again.

appreciate your help!

I’d see the GP and start some good quality omega 3 first.
