Can I stop my HRT after just 3 months?!

Hello fellow females

I've been going through the menopause for the last 2-3 years. My symptoms were almost negligible apart from my sleep or lack thereof. I also suffer with Chronic Fatigue Syndrome which necessitates good quality sleep. I decided to try HRT and have been on it for almost 3 months. The first month I had a heavy period for almost 2 weeks. My periods were always light and I was quite shocked. The HRT is doing nothing for me and I don't want periods anymore as I've always had painful ones. I want them to stop.

Can I just stop HRT? Or would I have to ween my body off them slowly eg using one patch a week not 2?

Thank you

Just stop. 3 months is the trial time anyway. Just make sure you stop after the bleed not in the middle of the estrogen phase if you are using sequential.
