Weird mid cycle bleeding on hrt - should this be routine or urgent for GP?

I've been having some v strange bleeding mid cycle - thick and sticky with long stringy bits. No pain or anything. Looks a bit like when I had a miscarriage although it's not that.

I'm in my 6th month of evorel sequi and I feel like this is concerning although my GP surgery has categorised it as "routine", meaning that they won't call me for around 4-5 weeks to discuss it.

Can anyone alleviate my anxiety and reassure me that this isn't a sign of something sinister and 4 weeks to speak to a doctor is OK? Or would you go back to them and argue for an appointment sooner (assuming it will do any good)?

It's odd how different GPs react. Mine put me in for a scan for that. Are you postmenopausal?

IamThegreaterMole · 16/06/2023 18:23

Depends if you are post menopausal or not.

BerryTrifle · 16/06/2023 19:09

No, not post menopausal- still getting regularish periods. Does that make it less of a concern?

Yes, apparently so. Post menopausal would be much more concerning.

It's confusing when you are on HRT, I think.

Ah OK. Thank you, that's reassuring to know.
