How to dispense 0.5ml of testosterone...

I'm confused. Have paid £100 for the tube of testosterone and have a tiny syringe with which I dispense 0.5ml to put on my inner leg each day.

Issue is, the syringe just does not work. I can't get it to work and a couple of times a blob has come as follow through!! Can't afford to waste it as it's so expensive.

Thank you in advance for helping me with this random issue! Hmm

Get yourself a set of electronic jeweller's scales - mine were about 8 quid from Amazon. They will weighthe gel to the precise micro gram. Just take a piece of aluminium foil / thin plastic to put underneath (subtract that weight obvs), and then squirt the gel on. A but of a faff, but no waste and no over- (or under-) dosing either!

Why are you paying formal private, prescription ? Are you in uk? Why has this not been prescribed by a NHS Gp?

TheDogsMother · 16/06/2023 14:19

I can't answer the syringe question but have you spoken to your GP ? I get mine on prescription, 30 tubes at a time. Each tube lasts a week and I use a pea sized blob each day.

Which brand of testosterone? Can you practice with the syringe on something else eg some hand sanitiser? Most of us just wing it with our testosterone after a few goes.

My GP has prescribed my testosterone on the NHS - is this not something you can do?

Good idea re practising on hand gel. Thank you!

Am looking boots for a different syringe tomorrow too.

Am on androfeme. Private GP as my NHS GP will not prescribe it.

Not all NHS GPs will prescribe it, for those asking. Each CCG has their own status red/yellow/green for it. I live in a yellow area and my GP would not risk it so I had to go private.

BatshitCrazyWoman · 17/06/2023 18:29

My GP is not allowed to prescribe it in my area, either. I hated Androfemme for this reason. I did used to do it 'by eye' though, rather than use the useless syringe.

Testim is better - it's gel, dries quickly, one little tube is ten doses. Baked bean sized blob, job done!
