Has this happened to Anyone else?

2nd baby, mid thirties....but things are not quite right hormonally I know my progesterone is off because my menstral migraines are atrocious compared with before, and I've got other peri ish symptoms. Night sweats and itchiness mainly.

GP is sympathetic but just said watch and wait. bit lost as to where I can go for more help/information or figuring out what is going on, or if it is just a case of waiting it out.

No older female relatives or friends to ask x

I think similar might be happening to me at thirty eight. I don't know what to do about it really but my periods are worse than before and awful PMT.

Sorry to hear that maybe it's happening to you too x

Have you asked the GP about it?

Sorry to hear you're having a hard time. I think the GP is right though. I experienced all sorts of hormone related symptoms post partum - depression, hot and sweaty, sleep disturbances, skin changes, breast changes, heavy bleeding - but they were post partum symptoms, not peri. Your hormones will be all over the place after having a baby and it can take a while to settle but chances are it will settle and you'll have several more years - maybe a decade - of 'normal' before peri hits.

I haven't, but I should. My cycle has gone from 28 days to 32 as well

I feel like there should be local primary care peri/full menopause clinics that are self referral where you can just get your levels checked and a general MOT for all the symptom stuff.

Massive gap in care provision I think

But I'd go and have a chat with the GP - I did. I've been post partum before and it never felt like this, but i'll have to wait and see
