I'm fed up of my legs aching by end of the day
I tend to go bed around 9 to stretch my legs
Getting me down I don't know what to do with myself

Are you on HRT? I went on HRT mainly to reduce risks of oestoporis but I didn’t realise just how achey I’d got, a couple of days in, all the aches were gone.

Mine are like this.

I've had a hysterectomy so they tested my FSH.

But that's normal Confused

Well, it will get worse (along with other things)

I have read other posters on MN saying they ached less the more exercise they got; the ache came from seizing up by doing too little exercise.

I work full time and on my feet all day
I walk to work and I do roughly 12 though steps plus a day
I'm thinking of taking vitamin D and magnesium

As you’re on the menopause thread I’d suggest trying HRT if suitable, but also, have you tried Epsom salt baths? Plus is your back ok, as that can trigger leg pain. Also, do you have pronating feet, othotics may help.

Mine keep me awake at night they are so achey 🙁 I’m alright during the day but they start about 7pm. Going to bed doesn’t help.
I swim about 3 times a week, walk loads (have a dog) and do Pilates. I can’t take HRT because of previous breast cancer.

I’ve just ordered magnesium. Did quite a bit of research and this came up as recommended for being best quality.

Support tights or stockings can help. It might be that you have signs of early varicose veins which cause aching legs, and support tights can help the blood flow.

Vit D- everyone is supposed to take this between October- April , magnesium? You possibly get enough from food- it's in lots of fruit and veg (have a look at which.)

It must be lots of standing if you only get up to 12k steps/day in spite of never sitting down for 8 hours & the walking to & from (how long each way?).

Advice for people who have to stand all day. Lower limb ache is quite common for people who stand a lot all day. I can't do it, destroys my back (!)
