On HRT but is there a solution?

So I’ve been on evorel sequi patches now for 18 months. I started hrt to treat joint pain and night sweats and it made a massive improvement

the problem is that for the last 9 months the first two weeks, the evorel 50 patches I feel great but the second two… joint pain, pmt, exhaustion and truly awful period pain (I’ve fibroids and endometriosis diagnosed so I dont want to stress the pain as only have hrt if it didn’t make these worse) I think my work are getting fed up as I’ve had to take two days this year just because of the pain. I’m also not losing weight despite doing all the right things I’ve plateaued about a BMI of 26

but what’s the solution? I don’t want to stop the hrt it makes such a difference but how do I treat these symptoms. I’ve a call with the doctor scheduled next month

do I ask for a higher dose? More oestrogen? A lower dose? Tranexamic acid?

it would be great if I knew what to suggest before I speak to the doctor

Can anyone help or has solved this problem?

I had similar so have oestrogen only patches and then user vaginal progesterones and whilst not perfect it's made a massive difference to my mental health and frequent migraines, so it's infinitely better than the mixed patches

its so good to know I’m not alone

i genuinely sometimes feel like the only one with menopause problems

especially here where it’s a lot of encouragement to deal with it naturally (and not talk about it)

Evorel Sequi..
hello

im 44 and I think I might have been on perimenopause for 4-5 years now. After increased Ibs issues and losing my eyebrows and forehead hair since 2020 gp seems to link it to perimenopause..
so decided to start hrt.. although I don’t have night sweats anymore (had for years 15 years ago) don’t have the common menopause issues that hrt is suppose to fix..
so I really hope it can help my hair to grow back and soothe IBS issues..considering the risk of taking them.
anyone had these menopause symptoms, did hrt work??
