Hi guys sorry if this upsets anyone I didnt know what topic to put it in but considering is period related I thought menopause anyways yesterday I got the implant contraception put in my arm but I spoke to the nurse first and told her that I am late on my period she made me do a pregnancy test there and then and it came back negative (she wouldn't of done my implant if it came back positive) but this had happened twice since I have had a baby I keep getting really late periods anyways got my implant yesterday after being really late and I've woke up just now gone to the toilet and I've started bleeding but I'm confused is this my period or is this the implant making me bleed? Sorry if this upsets anyone or confuses anyone I just want to know if confused myself lol

Does it matter really ? You are not pregnant and now have long acting hormonal contraception sorted. I struggling to see the issue here.

Well yes it does matter because I've had unprotected sex with my partner and that the nurse said there's still a possibility I could be pregnant and that is why my period could be late so yes it does matter to me anyway I want to know if this is my period so I can stop worrying

You had a negative pregnancy test and now you are bleeding, seems extremely unlikely that you are pregnant. Anyway there is FA to be done about it now. If you are that worried take another test in 2 weeks. Nobody on here can possibly know why you are bleeding, even a gynaecologist would struggle TBH.

Well I thought someone anyone on here could of been in the same situation and knows what I'm going on about and yes the nurse told me to do another test but in 4 weeks from yesterday I don't know why she said that long?

OK, when was your last menstrual period before this one ?
If it was less than 2 weeks ago then yes test when it would be due or a couple of days after to be sure
If it was more than 2 weeks ago then test in 2 weeks.
Really OP do you need this much guidance with all aspects of adulting ?

I don't know why your trying to be all sarcastic if you not here to genuinely help then your opinion is unwanted about "do I need guidance with all aspects of adulting" it's clearly something I need educating on not made to be felt even more stupid than I already feel thanks I don't know what your getting out of being an arsehole👍🏻:)

Omg I really hope you aren't actually an ND doctor with that attitude 😱

OP I'm sad for you that you got no other supportive feedback and hope everything has sorted and settled into place now x
