Uterogestan - different effectiveness if taken as pessary?

I'm prescribed 2 tablets/ capsules daily (2x100). I'm running low and am not confident, given the news of shortages, that I'll be able to fulfil my new prescription. I read somewhere that using the tablets as pessaries deliveries a higher dose as they are in the right area and not partially digested. Does anyone know if there's any scientific evidence to back this up? I'm thinking if that's correct I could use one as a pessary instead of 2 orally.

I have no idea but I just got my prescription of HRT including Uterogestan within a week

That info you read is now outdated and was never correct in the first place.
The BMS has written a report on progesterone and said that the same amount has to be used orally or vaginally.

There's an alternative 200 mg of the same stuff I believe. Designed For vaginal use though the oral ones work just as well
