Blood test needed before HRT can be prescribed?

I finally have a phone appointment for HRT (I've been trying for ages and had one cancelled a while ago). I wasn't given an in person appointment as apparently I'd need a blood test first. I didn't get to give any of my history over the phone as it was just the receptionist, but I think I'm the 'right' age for HRT without testing first, plus (on checking my Fitbit) my last period was in January but before that was 22nd July.
I've been struggling with hot flushes (the overheating is ridiculously impacting), disrupted sleep, and anxiety if that's a symptom?

Will I be able to be prescribed with HRT over the phone does anyone know?

Check out the NHS community pharmacy, blood pressure check service (google it) to find a pharmacy near you that does blood pressure checks. Get it done phone surgery job done. Having to wait for an appointment to have blood pressure checked is just nuts it's such a simple thing to do.

Our GP also has a machine in the waiting area that you can use yourself - you put your whole arm in - and it prints out a bit of paper that you can give to reception.

Thanks all! I feel a bit more hopeful I might be able to get it sooner now.
