This is probably a Silly question been peri for 8 years not sure if I am still in peri ,on hrt but had to change in November now on oestrogel 3 pumps and utrogestan 100mg 12 days, I bleed on the last day of utrogestan or the day after, they last 3 days and light .
My question is, some months I get really hot not sweats just before a bleed, is this due to hormones changing,
As I have had no help from my doctors in the 8 years this has been going on ,was told why do I want to put poison(hrt) in my body when there are natural things I can take ,and that hrt is only for hot flushes and women in the old days just got on with it
Thank you x

I made sure my bedroom, was as cool as possible, changed to a light blanket instead of a duvet, small fan and cold packs to help with night sweats.

Thank you will try those things x

@Pmj The dose of utrogestan is 200mgs (2 capsules) daily in peri. You are using too low a dose- any reason why?

JinglingSpringbells · 19/05/2023 10:06

that's 200 mcgs for 12 days ! (in case it wasn't clear.)

Night sweats are common when on the progesterone phase but you do need to take it at the right dose especially as you are on a highish estrogen dose.

Sorry I ment 200mg for 12 nights

I've increased my oestrogen dose to 100 patches and night sweats have gone completely, I still had them on 50 and 75 patches.

So you could increase your pumps
